L-Arginine Alpha-Ketoglutarate , or AAKG. As its name implies, it contains L-arginine, an essential amino acid which our bodies naturally produce. It also contains A-ketoglutarate, a multi-functional molecule also produced in the body. Arginine alpha-ketoglutarate is a dietary supplement consisting of the amino acid arginine -- a building block of protein -- and alpha-ketoglurate, a compound that breaks down sugars and amino acids. Both constituents of AAKG have different roles and may offer benefits.
